IRVING - The MetLife Home Loan division is set to eliminate 116 jobs over the next year. MetLife Bank's Home Loans division is being sold, and the company will be exiting the mortgage-servicing business.
The City of Irving and the Texas Workforce Commission received a Worker Adjustment Retraining and Notification Act (WARN) letter on May 6 from the New York City-based bank.
The layoffs will start June 30, 2013, and continue in phases through April 30, 2014.
