SAN JUAN – City commissioners are moving ahead on a nearly $1 million drainage project near the Paseo De Las Flores and Las Brechas neighborhoods.

Commissioners selected the company owned by City Engineer Ronnie Cruz to perform consultant work for the project.

City leaders will be able to start using the $4.25 million that the Commission approved in April for street improvements and drainage improvements for Las Flores and Las Brechas neighborhoods.

City leaders estimated then the drainage improvements would cost about $1.8 million.
