Austin Oaks Hospital opens its $17M doors

AUSTIN – Austin Oaks Hospital, a new 80-bed psychiatric hospital and inpatient treatment facility, has opened.

The facility on West Stassney Ln. offers care for children, adolescents and adults, and is expected to see its first patients in early June. With more than 51,000 sf and more than 200 employees, Austin Oaks is a sister hospital to Austin Lakes Hospital on 32nd St. in the St. David’s Pavilion.

The $17 million facility is a replacement for The Oaks Treatment Center, which operated on the same site and was closed in 2009.
