EL PASO - Home prices increased in El Paso and many other metro areas in the first quarter. El Paso's median, or market midpoint, price for resale, single-family homes increased 5 percent in first quarter compared to a year ago, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported.
El Paso's median resale price was $138,600 — up $6,600 from 1Q 2012.
El Paso's price increase was below the national increase of 11.3 percent — the strongest national annual increase in almost eight years – NAR reported.
Median home prices rose in 133 of 150 surveyed metro areas.
