FORT WORTH – As part of its $4.5 million development project at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (FTW), Texas Jet is nearing completion of a 30,000-sf hangar it has leased to Trimec Aviation.

“With our growing Astra/G100 customer base, we have outgrown the facility we’ve been in for 25 years,” said Trimec President John Dunn.

The new hangar will also provide the option to move into Galaxy/G200 maintenance.

Texas Jet, which completed a 13,800-sf hangar last December, will be a 20-hangar, 350,000-sf complex when the newest hangar is completed.

Trimec’s 12 employees, all technicians except an office manager and parts manager, specialize in Westwind maintenance.

The company also has established relationships with Duncan Avionics, Aircraft Paint Services and Turbine Engine Specialists.
