Forest Park Medical Center Southlake opens
SOUTHLAKE – Forest Park Medical Center Southlake, located at 335 E. State Highway 114, will begin seeing patients June 10, 2013. The 142,000-sf facility will have 54 private inpatient rooms, including ten VIP suites, 12 operating suites, and an emergency department. The facility will have 250-300 full-time employees.
The $80 million Phase 1 is completed, but the 30-acre site is master planned to allow a 500,000-sf hospital and four medical office buildings.
Southlake will have a strong emphasis on orthopedic procedures because of the physicians practicing there. The facility also will offer bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, and other specialty procedures.
Robert Wyatt, MD, one of Forest Park’s founders, said about 100 physicians comprise about 70 percent the facility’s ownership. Forest Park has hospitals in Dallas and Frisco.
