DALLAS - Dallas area home foreclosures have fallen by more than 10 percent since April 2012, according to a new report by CoreLogic Inc.
From April 2012 to April 2013, 10,469 Dallas-area homes were sold at foreclosure by lenders.
Dallas ranked 12th among the major cities CoreLogic tracked for foreclosures since 2012.
Nationwide home foreclosures were down ten percent.
While CoreLogic tracks completed foreclosures, the drop in pending forced sales has been even steeper in North Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth foreclosure filings are down almost 40 percent in 2013 from the first half of 2012, according to Foreclosure Listing Service.
