DONNA - Donna North High School with 321,000 sf is scheduled to open in the fall 2013. It has a capacity of 2,500 to 2,700 students, according to Ernest Lugo, president of the Donna Independent School District Board of Trustees.
The $52 million project, which also includes an athletic complex, is situated on a 96-acre site.
Functional areas of the new high school will include 52 general classrooms, business labs, science labs, fine arts classrooms, an auditorium and stage, a library, a competition gymnasium and locker rooms, an auxiliary gymnasium, special education classrooms, an administration area, a kitchen and a central plant.
PBK is the architect of record for the project and Skanska USA Building Inc. is the construction manager.
