Remaining White Wing lots sold in New Braunfels

NEW BRAUNFELS – Meritage Homes has closed on the purchase of 71 lots in New Braunfels from Rockspring Capital.

Houston-based Rockspring Capital sold the remaining lots in a New Braunfels subdivision called White Wing to Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Meritage Homes. This transaction marks the latest between Rockspring and Meritage.

Last January, Rockspring purchased the 117 lots that make up White Wing. Four months later, Meritage purchased 46 of the lots out the subdivision.

With this latest deal, Meritage now owns the remaining 71 lots in the community.

White Wing spans a total of 40 acres along Interstate Highway 35 and Stoeger Dr. in New Braunfels — about 35 miles northeast of San Antonio.

“The booming Texas economy and population growth is driving the demand for residential lots to its highest level in years,” says Jim McAlister IV, president and CEO of Rockspring Capital.

The homes in White Wing range in size from 1,542 to 3,093 sf and in price from $156,990 to $196,990, according to Meritage’s website.
