PLANO - Ground was broken on a 129-room Cambria Suites hotel in Plano, just east of the Shops at Legacy. Employing up to 65 workers, half of them full time, the $16 million hotel is expected to open at the end of March 2014.

Tim O’Reilly, Hospitality Management CEO, and his family will own 75 percent of the hotel, and, as part of a joint venture deal, Choice will own 25 percent. The hotel loan was provided by Great Southern Bank in Springfield, Mo.

The ownership group will contract with O’Reilly’s hospitality company to operate the hotel, which includes 2,400 sf of meeting space and a casual dining restaurant called Reflect.
