LUBBOCK – The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA) has announced 167 new jobs with the expansion of two local businesses and relocation of one new business.

AmpliSine plans to expand its location at 9500 US 87 with 115 new jobs during the next five years and will make a capital investment of at least $650,000. AmpliSine specializes in developing and commercializing new technology across many fields.

Professional Rebuild & Optimal Service LLC will expand its facility at Texas Ave. and Marsha Sharp Freeway which will create 29 jobs with a combined salary of $1.1 million. The company rebuilds and restores air and gas compressing units.

SERVCO will move from Hereford and bring an estimated 23 jobs, 15 of which will be new hires, to its new 66th St. location. The company will have $1.48 million in combined salaries. SERVCO will make an initial capital investment of $2 million, and LEDA offered SERVCO up to $200,000 to offset utility costs. SERVCO is a chemical manufacturer that works in the food industry but plans to expand into oil and gas.

These companies will invest more than $3.75 million in new capital improvements, and jobs created from their projects are expected to provide more than $7 million in new, annual salaries, said Alyssa Kitten, communications coordinator for LEDA.

Once fully operational, the expansions are expected to add about $19.1 million annually to Lubbock County’s gross regional product.
