New Southlake fire station to help cut response times

SOUTHLAKE – The new $16.3 million fire station at the corner of White Chapel Blvd. and Dove Rd. is being built. The 37,000-sf facility will include an indoor firing range, classrooms, an auditorium and a complete fire station.

The fire station will house a one-engine company with four firefighters.

Construction should be completed in November, and a grand opening is planned for December.
