Dallas HCA Medical receives $60M enhancement

DALLAS – Texas HCA North Texas has awarded a $60 million contract to Brasfield & Gorrie to build the vertical expansion and renovation of the HCA Medical City Hospital at 5950 Berkshire Ln.

The project comprises a 160,307-sf, four-story vertical expansion above the existing emergency department and ambulance drop-off, creating 34 intensive-care beds and 46 medical/surgical beds.

The job also includes a 68,576-sf phased interior renovation of multiple campus departments, including surgery, medical oncology, surgical oncology, stem cell, and the emergency department and cardiac diagnostic unit.

Construction is set to begin in October.
