Behavioral Health Facility planned for Georgetown

GEORGETOWN – Signature Healthcare Services LLC broke ground on the Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute. The facility will be the second focused on behavioral health in the city.

The hospital will be located on six acres at 3101 S. Austin Ave. and is scheduled to open in spring 2014, adding an estimated 300 jobs. The facility will be 73,500 sf in size with 118 beds. It will offer inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care for adolescents, adults, seniors and active military members and veterans.

Director of Corporate Contracting Kathie Green said that veterans and military service members can seek care for issues including depression and post-traumatic stress disorder through partial services and intensive outpatient care.

The Georgetown location will be Signature Healthcare Services’ second-largest facility, said Shelley Plemons, vice president of business development.
