Lowest unemployment in Texas? Midland, Odessa

MIDLAND, ODESSA – Midland and Odessa top the list of cities with the lowest unemployment in the state.

According to the Texas Workforce Commission, the City of Midland has the lowest unemployment rate at 3.4 percent, followed by Odessa at 4.1 percent.

Amarillo is at 4.8 percent.

Meanwhile, construction has remained the fastest growing major industry in the state, based on a 6.7 percent growth rate.
