Richardson neighbor State Farm leases 812K SF

RICHARDSON – One of North Texas’ fastest expanding companies, State Farm Insurance, has signed a lease totaling 812,000 sf of office space at 2201 and 2221 Lakeside Blvd. to accommodate its growing operations.

The new space will make way for the Bloomington, Ill.-based insurance company’s growing North Texas regional hub of claims and customer service operations.

This is the third large block of existing space State Farm has leased in Richardson since it began expanding its North Texas operations to serve as one of three regional hubs in the U.S. The existing space will house employees until the campus is completed, which is expected in 2015.

In the next six months, State Farm plans to hire 500 employees.
