Landmark stakes $38M Mission Barton Creek in Austin

AUSTIN – The 298-unit Mission Barton Creek apartment community has sold for $37.5 million. Located at 1781 Spyglass Dr., the 225,000-sf community was built in 1980. Occupancy was 98.3 percent.

The buyer, Va.-based Landmark Apartment Trust of America Inc., renamed the Southwest Austin property to Landmark at Barton Creek.

The trust also owns the Landmark at Saratoga Springs in Southeast Austin, Arboleda in Cedar Park, and Amelia Ridge and Auburn Manor, both in Round Rock.

Landmark has acquired 2,252 apartment units for $169.3 million over the course of weeks in Texas and other states.
