EL PASO - Work has begun on a 188-unit, $22 million apartment complex on the far East Side that is unique because it will have a mix of public housing with market-rate apartments. The Eastside Crossings complex is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The Housing Authority has partnered with Hunt Companies and Investment Builders Inc. to build the complex on a 16.6-acre site on Sarah H. Circle near Zaragoza and Joe Battle.
Eastside Crossings will have 64 public housing units, 79 units for low- to medium-income tenants, and 45 market-rate units.
