DALLAS-FORT WORTH – The DFW market ended second quarter 2013 with a vacancy rate of 15.4 percent according to CoStar.
The vacancy rate was down over the previous quarter, with net absorption totaling positive 300,379 sf in second quarter.
That compares to positive 596,695 sf in 1Q 2013. Vacant sublease space increased in the quarter, ending the quarter at 2,550,027 sf.
Rental rates ended second quarter at $20.08, an increase over the previous quarter.
A total of 21 buildings delivered to the market in the quarter totaling 339,894 sf, with 2,238,127 sf still under construction at the end of the quarter.
