KILLEEN - Aegis will hire 1,400 new employees at its Killeen call center in the next four months. Currently, 850 employees work at the Killeen call center. After the hires, Aegis will employ about 2,250 people in Killeen.

New employees will be customer service and sales representatives working on behalf of longtime Aegis health care clients. About 80 percent of the jobs will be permanent.

The push is part of a 5,000-person hiring blitz at Aegis centers across the country. About 3,200 of the new jobs will be in Texas at centers in Killeen and Irving, said Aegis spokesperson Kevin Nolan.

Aegis is a global business outsourcing provider based in Mumbai, India. The company’s American headquarters is in Irving. Today, the company has more than 55,000 employees working at 56 locations in 13 countries.
