SPRING – Spring Trace, a 156,398-sf affordable apartment development for seniors age 55 and older, is set to open for tenants by December 2013. Spring Trace is located at 24505 Aldine Westfield Rd. near the Hardy Toll Rd. and Cypresswood Dr.

The five-building Spring Trace will have 180 apartment units. Rents range from approximately $267 to $778, according to unit size and tenant income. Units range from one- and two-bedroom units with one or two bathrooms.

The $20 million project is expected to be completed in fall 2013 and tenants should be able to occupy apartments by December 2013.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) models indicate that a 180-unit affordable senior apartment community can produce approximately $12.3 million in income, $738,000 in taxes and other government revenue, and 235 jobs in the local metropolitan statistical area.
