FORT WORTH - The $5.8 million in renovations on the new Young Women’s Leadership Academy campus, located at 401 East 8th St., are expected to reach completion this fall.

The all-girls school outgrew its old space on Magnolia Ave. In the new building, the school will be able to expand from its current grades six through nine to house grades six through 12.

The central downtown location is intended to make the campus accessible to more students. Enrollment is expected to reach about 250 students this year and 375 students in 2013-14 before eventually reaching a capacity of 525.

The building was purchased by Fort Worth ISD in March 2013 for $4.45 million to serve as the new campus of the Young Women's Leadership Academy.
