FORT WORTH - The Pentagon and Lockheed Martin Corp. have reached an agreement for two orders of Fort Worth-made F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft, a deal valued at more than $7 billion.

The deal covers 71 aircraft, which are made at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics' west Fort Worth plant. Lockheed will deliver 36 planes in the first batch, the sixth production lot, and 35 planes in the seventh lot.

Reuters said the order includes 60 F-35s for the U.S. military and 11 for Australia, Italy, Turkey and Great Britain.
