KENEDY, KARNES COUNTY – Laredo-based developer Hachar Investments has broken ground on the 120-acre, 29-lot Kenedy Business Park located along US Hwy. 181. Construction is scheduled to be completed in August 2013, according to Hachar Vice President Bianca Higle.

“We see a lot of companies moving into Karnes County right now,” says A.B. Barrera, director of sales and marketing for the site. “And Kenedy’s right in the middle of it all.”

The park has signed its first lease with a Stripes convenience store for two lots, and is looking for tenants ranging from restaurants and laundromats to oilfield-service yards.

The park is offering El Oso water from Kenedy’s El Oso Water Supply Corp., and a water tower for the surrounding area.

Hachar plans to have the development fully leased by the end of 2013.
