Houston construction contracts rise again June 2013
HOUSTON – For the 12 months ending June 2013, construction contracts in the ten-county Houston metro area totaled $10.3 billion, a 5.6 percent increase from the $9.8 billion during the 12 months ending June 2012, according to McGraw Hill Construction.
Residential contracts increased 14.7 percent from $6.2 billion in the 12 months ending June 2012 to $7.1 billion in the 12 months ending June 2013.
Nonresidential contracts decreased 9.8 percent from $3.6 billion in the 12 months ending June 2012 to $3.2 billion in the 12 months ending June 2013.
