PAMPA, GRAY COUNTY - A three-story, 62-room La Quinta Inns & Suites will break ground in 2013, according to Amarillo developer Patesh Patel.

The hotel, situated on 1.76 acres, will be located at 500 West Harvester Ave., according to Century 21 agent Jim Davis. It will have single rooms, two-room suites and extended-stay suites. Amenities will include an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi along with a conference room.

"We hope to have it open nine months from ground breaking,” said Patel.

"Pampa is growing and with a new hotel scheduled to be built, it is just another sign of that growth. From new restaurants, to new stores, to the Mall reopening, Pampa is a city on the move,” said Lori Byrne, executive director of the Pampa Chamber of Commerce.

Dallas-based LQ Management LLC, La Quinta’s parent company, employs 9,000 and operates more than 65,000 rooms in the United States.
