Boston rides to Houston’s Eldridge Oaks
HOUSTON - The Class A Eldridge Oaks, a 14-story, 350,000-sf office tower at 1080 Eldridge Pkwy. in the Energy Corridor, along with an adjacent seven-acre parcel has been purchased.
The buyer was Boston-based AEW Capital Management. The seller is a joint venture between Hartford, Conn.-based Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers LLC.
The joint venture purchased the 21-acre site in 2007, and Eldridge Oaks was delivered in 2009. It is currently leased and managed by Transwestern.
The transaction helped move Houston into the second spot, behind Manhattan, on a list of most active office markets in the first half of 2013. During that time, $1.7 billion worth of office properties traded hands, according to Real Capital Analytics, which compiled the data.
