The Alexan ascends Big D’s Goat Hill with 365 units

DALLAS – The Alexan, a 10-story, 365-unit apartment community on Goat Hill near Victory Park is under construction. The project sits on roughly five acres between Harry Hines Blvd. and I-35E; it is scheduled for completion in summer 2015.

The community will include homes ranging from 436 sf to 1,865 sf, and rents will be between $1,300 and $4,500 per month, according to a previous story by the Dallas Business Journal.

A selling point of the property will be a waterfall that falls about 20 feet, according to Steve Bancroft with Crow Residential. The project also includes two luxury pools, retail space on the ground floor, a fitness center, cyber cafe, dog park, game room and outdoor patio space.

The project is a joint partnership between Addison-based Behringer Harvard Multifamily REIT I Inc., the Crow Family and Trammell Crow Residential, which is the developer of the project. The Alexan is the fourth deal Trammell Crow Residential has completed with the REIT in the past 18 months.
