Van Zandt vaunts 322 rooms in Austin

AUSTIN – Construction is underway on the 16-story, 322-room Hotel Van Zandt located at Red River St. and Davis St. in downtown Austin’s Rainey Street District.

The boutique hotel will feature more than 12,000 sf of event and meeting space, a restaurant and lobby café and a pool and bar.

Hotel owner and developer JMI Realty purchased the property in 2006, and once the hotel opens in 2015 it will be operated by San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels.
