SAN MARCOS – Sales tax revenues in San Marcos increased by 10.69 percent for retail activity in June, according to the city’s government website. San Marcos collected $1,948,473, an increase of $188,214 compared to last year’s June sales.

Sales tax collections account for 45 percent of the general fund revenue in San Marcos. This is a 9.16 percent increase in the fiscal year sales tax revenues since last October.

Sales tax revenues in San Marcos have risen for 40 of the past 43 months.
