Edinburg pops with Cinemark Movie Bistro
EDINBURG – Cinemark Holdings Inc. will open the company’s first Cinemark Movie Bistro in Edinburg on August 30. The new, six-screen theater is located at 2001 W. Trenton in the Trenton Crossroads Plaza.
This will be Cinemark’s first combination dinner-and-a-movie venue in the Rio Grande Valley.
Cinemark purchased the site in November 2010 that was originally to open as an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in 2007, but was never completed. Cost of renovating and remodeling the theater were estimated at $800,000, according to state filings.
Although Cinemark is leasing about 70,000 sf in the Trenton Crossroads Plaza, there is still about 70,000 sf left to lease out. The Cinemark theater will serve as the anchor for the plaza.
