Dallas: Bishop Lynch High School’s $20M do over
DALLAS – Construction has begun on a $20 million expansion and renovation of Bishop Lynch High School, including a new academic wing with a high-tech media center and 1,500-seat competition gymnasium and weight rooms.
The project will expand the high school by 86,000 sf, with 70,000 sf of renovated space, and will modernize the 50-year-old campus.
Bishop Lynch High School, located at 9750 Ferguson Rd., is a co-educational Catholic high school that was opened in 1963 and services 1,200 students in grades nine to 12.
The high school’s Student Complex for Arts and Athletics will be expanded to feature a 1,500-seat multi-function competition gymnasium, locker and weight rooms, as well as music, art and dance studios. The complex is scheduled for completion in 2014.
The new academic wing, which features academic classrooms, counseling suits, a student alumni center and high-tech media center, is scheduled for completion in 2016.
