Katy Oaks, a 171-home development, broke ground in May 2013 on 58 acres near the intersection of Morton Ranch Rd. and Porter Rd.

Cane Island, a 1,000-acre community, is planned to have 2,000 homes on the Waller side of Harris/Waller County.
