DENTON - Over the past year, Tetra Pak has added 32,000 sf and moved about 40 employees from the suburbs of Chicago to Denton and the move and renovations are now finalized.
The company — which has had a manufacturing plant here since the 1980s to create the boxed containers for dozens of products — has moved its U.S. and Canada headquarters to Denton.
The Denton arm, at 3300 Airport Rd., is just one of several hubs worldwide for the company.
The factory alone has 165 employees, 73,500 sf of space and an additional 75,000-sf warehouse. Of the 180 billion packs the company sold globally in 2014, Denton produced 5.6 billion.
