Lake Granbury Medical office underway

GRANBURY, HOOD COUNTY – Construction has started on a new $8.7 million, 41,000-sf medical office building located on the campus of Lake Granbury Medical Center, a Community Health Systems affiliated hospital at 1310 Paluxy Rd.

The medical office building — which will house the hospital’s orthopedics, cardiology and sports medicine departments — is being developed to connect directly to each of the hospital’s three levels for efficiency and ease of patients, said Darrell Simpson, senior vice president of development, who is overseeing the project.

The Sanders Trust, a health care real estate developer, is acting as developer and will own and provide property management services for the building upon its completion. Construction is expected to be completed by June 2014.

The 83-bed hospital offers a range of services, including inpatient, outpatient and emergency care and has a staff of 116 physicians representing 24 specialties.
