FORT WORTH – The new North Texas Recycling Complex has officially opened at 6200 Elliott Reeder Rd. The 90,000-sf complex is home to a technologically advanced Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).

The complex serves Dallas, Denton, Parker, and Tarrant counties, and represents a significant investment in Republic Services’ local recycling capabilities.

The new MRF collects and processes all plastics marked one through seven, paper products, cardboard, glass, aluminum, and other materials. The facility utilizes a highly-automated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system, which enables facility operators to move 35 tons of materials per hour.

There are approximately 40 full-time employees working at the new complex.
