NORTH TEXAS – Construction cranes are expected to continue to flock around medical facilities in North Texas, despite rising interest rates. Some of the health care construction projects include:
- Parkland Memorial Hospital — $1.3 billion hospital across Harry Hines Blvd. from the existing hospital.
- University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center — $270 million, 115,000-sf cancer treatment facility in Dallas;
- Methodist Dallas Medical Center — 248,000-sf Charles A. Sammons Trauma and Critical Care Tower;
- Medical City Dallas Hospital and Medical City Children’s Hospital — $114 million expansion;
- Victory Healthcare of The Woodlands — $100 million constructing and renovating four hospitals across North Texas;
- Conifer Health Solutions — 200,000-sf, four-story headquarters in Frisco; and
- Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas — 49,000-sf comprehensive cancer center, scheduled to open in August 2014.
