AETI bolsters Beaumont plant with expansion

BEAUMONT – American Electric Technologies Inc. will expand its plant at 4775 M.L. King Pkwy. by adding 12,000 sf of manufacturing space, and 7,500 sf of office space.

“There are three primary areas of growth,” said President and CEO Charles Dauber. “(We are supplying power systems) to support the shale infrastructure, distributed power generation, and we still see a great opportunity in the deepwater markets.”

Currently, the Houston-based company employs 170 at its Beaumont location. The company also has locations in Keystone Heights Fla., St. Louis Miss., China, Singapore and Brazil.
