HOUSTON – Avera Cos. will break ground in November 2013 on 225 RailPort, a master-planned industrial distribution complex including a 600,000-sf tilt-wall structure with nearly 20,000 linear feet of new rail on 46 acres. The project will cost between $50 million to $70 million to develop.

The complex is located near the Port of Houston, at the Beltway and Hwy 225.

La Porte-based Frontier Logistics LP has agreed to occupy the building; completion is anticipated by third quarter 2014. Frontier provides services to the plastics industry.

In addition to the Port of Houston, Frontier has shown activity in West Texas when it teamed with Houston’s Frac Resources to build a new rail park on 550 acres at the Permian Basin.
