WACO - The first 12 units of Tinsley Place townhomes, at 715 Cleveland Ave. should be getting its first residents the first and second week of October. The new urban living development is going up in phases, and developers Shane and Cody Turner have spent nearly $4 million on the first phase.
Crews have 30 units framed and nearly ready for occupancy. The urban townhomes will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans with prices ranging from $995 to $1,450 per month.
Most of the living space will be on the second (or third) level providing added security and noise prevention while garages are on the first floor.
It is located directly across I-35 from the Baylor University campus.
The 65-unit second phase is set to be completed by summer 2015. Turner said he eventually hopes to build 200 homes within an area bounded by South Seventh and South Eighth streets, Cleveland Ave. and Clay Ave.
