SAN ANTONIO - Stream Data Centers have broken ground on its new data center development in the Westover Hills Business Park. The Stream Private Data Center (PDC) will be a 75,840-sf development that sits on 9.6 acres. Construction cost is estimated at $25 million, according to state filings.
The new facility will initially be divided into three 10,000-sf PDC Suites, which can be further divided in 200 kilowatt increments to meet multiple size requirements in the market. Each suite will also provide 4,500 sf of private, dedicated office space for disaster recovery.
The new purpose-built Stream PDC will deliver 7.2 megawatt of critical-load power.
The Stream PDC in San Antonio will be fully commissioned and ready for occupancy in May 2014.
