AUSTIN - Belterra, a 575-acre master-planned community near Dripping Springs, has been purchased by Crescent Communities. The company has plans to add about 800 more homes in the next several years.
The 12-year-old Belterra is on 1,600 acres in the Hill Country, including 400 acres of open space. The community has about 1,200 homes, and will have about 2,000 once completed during the next five to six years.
Construction is expected to start immediately on the next round of homes, which will be priced in line with houses that are currently available and under construction in Belterra, from $250,000 to $500,000.
