FORT WORTH - The new $25.9 million West Seventh Street bridge is now open to traffic. The old bridge, which spanned the river for 100 years, was demolished in June.
The bridge links downtown with west Fort Worth. It is structurally complete a month ahead of schedule. An estimated 12,000 vehicles a day use the bridge. The first-of-its-kind bridge was built using precast arches, as reported in June 2013.
