Lake’s Edge to sprawl $60 million over The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS – The Woodlands Development Co. broke ground on Lake’s Edge, a mixed-use multifamily project within the 66-acre Hughes Landing. Estimated cost of construction is $60 million.

The 390-unit project will be the third-largest building in the Woodlands, with 825,000 sf and eight stories. The average size of the units will be about 960 sf and the project includes about 22,000 sf of ground floor retail. The project is expected to deliver in first quarter 2015.

Leasing will not begin until fall next year, however, retail preleasing within the entire Hughes Landing development is at about 40 percent. Hughes Landing is situated on the 200-acre Lake Woodlands.
