El Paso airport activity YTD
EL PASO – Passenger and freight traffic declined substantially at El Paso International Airport in the three quarters of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012.
From January 2013 through September 2013 the airport was used by 2.03 million passengers, a decline of 140,562 passengers or 6.5 percent compared to 2012.
Freight traffic totaled 66,369 tons, which was down 6.1 percent compared to September 2012. Federal Express remained the largest cargo hauler at the airport, carrying 47,783 tons in the first three quarters, down almost 5 percent from 2012. UPS was a distant second with 10,180 tons, down 1 percent from 2012.
