Brownsville’s 50,000-SF Toyota dealership treads to opening

BROWNSVILLE – The first Toyota dealership in decades is nearly finished, with the grand opening scheduled for mid-August. The 50,000-sf dealership will be the second LEED-certified building in Brownsville.

The dealership is at the entrance to BrownsvilleSportsPark at I-69E frontage Rd.

Zamora Automotive Group, which owns 15 dealerships in Arizona and Northern California, held the groundbreaking last August. It will be the first ZAG dealership in Texas.

Chris Zamora, dealer principal for the family-owned company, said the dealership expects to employ 50 people initially and 150 within five years.
