PALESTINE, ANDERSON COUNTY – The Palestine and Rusk depots are bringing the holiday season alive with special events on the Texas State Railroad. Hot chocolate and cookies will be part of the excursion.

The relocated Bon Appetit Coffee Shop and Bakery, 1734 Crockett Rd., is booked again this year to make 60,000 cookies for the Texas State Railroad’s Polar Express™.

Adults and children can climb aboard from November 15 through December 29 to experience the magic of The Polar Express.

The train will make a roundtrip journey to the North Pole, meet Santa and enjoy caroling and hot chocolate. Everyone is encouraged to wear their pajamas, if you still believe.
