ROUND ROCK - H-E-B has officially opened its new 125,000-sf store in the University Commons Shopping Center at 250 University Blvd. Cost to build the new store were estimated at $11.5 million, according to state filings.
The new store represents the fifth H-E-B Round Rock location for the San Antonio-based grocery retailer. H-E-B expects to hire more than 300 employees.
Special features for the store include a Café on the Run section that will offer made-to-order pizzas and sandwiches as well as a selection of six Texas craft beers on tap.
The store also includes full-service meat and seafood departments, a full-service deli, a bakery, pharmacy and a floral department.
