Bright IDEA: Austin Allan school’s new home

AUSTIN – IDEA Allan Academy & College Prep has found a permanent home. The 90,000-sf facility will include 50 classrooms, a comprehensive college planning center, a gym and a soccer field.

The facility is located on a ten acres in East Austin’s Montopolis neighborhood, north of the intersection of Riverside Dr. and Vargas Rd.

The school has been temporarily located at 220 Foremost Dr. in Southwest Austin.

"At full scale, the campus will be the home to more than 1,300 students in grades K–12 — all on the road to and through college,” Executive Director Larkin Tackett said.

The school hopes to open its new site in August 2014.
