Be patient. Jacksboro hospital underway
JACKSBORO, JACK COUNTY – Faith Community Hospital has broken ground on a new 90,000-sf facility. The new hospital will be located on North Main St. behind Jacksboro National Bank.
The facility will have some outpatient services including an outpatient clinic, which will accommodate the physician practices. The facility will also have a new EMS building.
Hospital officials say the board decided to borrow $28 million from a single source to pay for construction.
The current 60-year-old building is plagued with problems, including mold, asbestos and water leaks, according to Frank Beaman, Faith Community Hospital CEO.
Construction is slated to start in January and with the new facility to be up and running in spring 2015.
